Connection to Research

    In my research, I found that doing activities such as reading, journaling, and moving our bodies are all great ways of releasing dopamine. Dopamine plays the role of how we feel pleasure and happiness(McGonigal,2020). This connects to my capstone project because I am holding a group for students on Tuesdays to practice different coping strategies that help release dopamine. I decided to have the students write their emotions before and after participating in the group while keeping it anonymous to show the benefits of the different activities.
